The functions and application differences of X capacitors and Y capacitors

Both X capacitors and Y capacitors are the category of safe capacitors. They play an important role in the power filter system, but their respective functions and application areas are different. X capacitors are mainly used to connect the two ends of the power supply to eliminate differential modules interference, while Y capacitors are connected between the power line and the ground wire, mainly to eliminate co -mode interference. Both use the plastic square high -voltage CBB capacitor. Because of its excellent electrical performance and high -frequency pulse suppression capacity, it is widely used in switching power supply and other devices.
In terms of specific classification, X capacitors are further divided into three categories: X1, X2 and X3, which are mainly distinguished according to high -voltage resistance. The X1 capacitance resistance is higher than 2.5kV and less than equal to 4KV. The X2 resistance voltage is less than equal to 2.5kV, while the X3 resistance voltage is less than equal to 1.2kV. The Y capacitors are subdivided into four types: Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4, which are also distinguished according to high pressure resistance. The resistance of the Y1 capacitor is higher than 8kV, the Y2 resistance is higher than 5kV, and the Y4 resistance is greater than 2.5kV. Y3 has been replaced by other models.
The selection and use of safety capacitors depends not only on its capacity and voltage resistance level, but also its safety level and application scenarios. According to international standard IEC 60384-14, X capacitors refer to capacitors that cross between fire lines (L) and zero (N), and Y capacitors refer to crossing the fire line (L) and ground line (G) or zero zero or zero zero or zero. Capacer between line (n) and ground (G). The X capacitors and Y capacitors both play an important role in the power filter, filtering for differential mode and co -mode interference, respectively.

In practical applications, especially when using a capacitor to eliminate noise in a cross -wire circuit, anomalous pulse voltage needs to be taken into account, such as lightning, which may cause damage to the capacitor. Therefore, the safety standards of cross -wire capacitors have strict regulations in different countries and must use a safe -certified capacitor. This safety consideration ensures that the capacitor does not cause personal safety and danger when it fails, and can effectively deal with various electrical interference to ensure the stable operation of electronic equipment.
